Course run by David Churchward of Little Acorns Forest Schools. Little Acorns Forest Schools Ltd run the Level 3 Forest Schools Practitioner qualification which is awarded through Open Awards under contract to Forest Schools Education.  The course is split down into parts; 5 days on site training, a period of development and delivering pilot Forest Schools programmes to your own client group and a 2 day Outdoor First Aid course should you require it.  Following this you’ll come forward for a 4 day assessment course where you’ll be formally assessed in your practical abilities and your delivery of forest schools sessions using forest schools ethos and methods.  Once this is completed you will then have 3 months from the end of the course to complete the portfolio which is now fully online for assessment; on successful completion of this you will be notified and congratulated and will receive your qualification through the post.  This whole process can take up to 12 months from the initial training course but this is totally dependent on the learner.  Working hours for the course are from 0915 – 1700 daily and the course is run centrally from the Café daily.
